The barn lies in a quiet rural area of Thornton Hough, set back from the main road, and has fantastic views of the Wirral countryside. The barn is to be converted into a 3 Bedroomed property with a rear ground floor extension. The aim of the development is to keep the natural feel of the barn by the using the exisitng exposed timber trusses and sandstone walls. Existing windows are to be kept and any new windows are to be formed in the existing detail. An usual detail of the barn is a large gothic window in one of the gable ends, as indicated in the 3D image below. We intend to keep and restore this window to create a feature in the main bedroom.

The rear extension is be off the kitchen and will be used for a dining area / family room. Large windows with low sill levels will be used allowing for full views of the countryside, whilst maintaining the overall feel of the sandstone barn.
