Sylvan House is an existing nursing home. Our brief was to design an extension which would increase the number of rooms, and also to utilise the existing roof space flats and convert them into rooms, with dormers providing head space and natural light.

Each new room included its own en-suite. All dormers to front and rear were deisgned to complement the original character of the building, thus helping with the planning approval. We also added an extra lift to provide disabled access to the top floor.
